Ussama Rasool Qadri

Founder
Edupreneur | Child Learning & Development Specialist & Childhood Advocate

Ussama Rasool Qadri is an educationist, speaker and creative practitioner committed to rethinking how children learn, grow and experience the world around them.

Through his work in education, he has developed a strong belief in moving beyond conventional approaches and creating environments where children can learn through curiosity, creativity, real life experiences and meaningful participation.

As the founder of Candy Club and ViVi The Bear School, Ussama has spent years developing approaches that place the individual child at the centre of learning. His work brings together education, creativity, practical life skills and inclusion, with a particular focus on helping children become confident, curious and independent learners.

A Message from Ussama

“I believe children do not need to be shaped into one idea of what a learner should be. They need the freedom to explore, question, create and discover who they are. My work has always been about creating environments where children feel safe to be themselves and where learning becomes something they experience rather than something that is simply taught.”

His Journey

Ussama’s journey in education has been shaped by a deep belief that children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, create, question and discover the world around them.

Where It Began | Rethinking Education

His journey began with a desire to look beyond conventional approaches to education and understand what meaningful learning could look like for children. Rather than seeing education as something limited to textbooks, classrooms and predetermined outcomes, Ussama became increasingly interested in child-centred, experiential and hands-on learning. His work has always focused on creating environments where children can develop through curiosity, creativity, real-life experiences and meaningful participation.

Candy Club | Learning Through Experience

In 2016, Ussama founded Candy Club, an initiative built around the belief that children deserve opportunities to learn through doing, creating and exploring. Through Candy Club, he developed and facilitated hands-on learning experiences across areas such as arts, construction, science, farming and practical life skills. His work with schools and children allowed him to explore how learning can become more engaging when children are encouraged to experiment, make choices and discover their own abilities. Over the years, Candy Club became an important part of his educational journey and helped shape his understanding of individualised, experiential and holistic learning.

Inclusive Education | Seeing Every Child

As his work with children developed, so did his commitment to inclusive education.Working alongside children with different abilities and learning needs strengthened his belief that every child should have the opportunity to participate, contribute and feel a genuine sense of belonging. His involvement with inclusive education initiatives and collaborations with organisations such as the Karachi Down Syndrome Program further deepened his understanding of the importance of recognising each child's individuality rather than expecting every child to learn in the same way.

ViVi The Bear School | Bringing the Vision Together

In 2023, Ussama founded ViVi The Bear School, bringing together many of the ideas and experiences that had shaped his educational journey. Inspired by Waldorf education, nature-based learning and holistic development, ViVi was created around the belief that education should nurture the Head, Heart and Hand. The school places strong emphasis on individuality, creativity, practical life skills, independence and emotional development, while creating an environment where children can feel safe, seen and understood. For Ussama, ViVi represents more than a school. It reflects his continuing effort to create an educational environment where children are given the space to become confident, curious and independent individuals.

Beyond the Classroom | Empowering Educators

Ussama’s work has also extended beyond his direct work with children. Through teacher training, speaking engagements and educational collaborations, he has worked to encourage educators to rethink traditional approaches and explore more meaningful ways of supporting children's development. His work with educators has reinforced his belief that meaningful change in education begins not only with changing what children learn, but also with changing how adults understand and facilitate learning.

Today | Creating Untangle

Everything Ussama has experienced throughout his journey has contributed to his vision for Untangle. Bringing together his experiences as an educationist, edupreneur and child learning and development advocate, he hopes to create a space where children and families can find greater understanding, guidance and support. Untangle represents another step in his journey — one that brings education, inclusion and child development closer together, with the belief that understanding a child should always come before deciding how to support them. His hope is to help create a world where children are not defined by labels or limitations, but are understood for who they are, how they learn and what they can become.

“Children do not need us to have all the answers. They need us to be willing to listen, understand and create spaces where they can discover their own possibilities.”
